Mindfulness & Meditation
Mindfulness is being present in the moment and accepting our feelings and thoughts no matter what they are. When we learn to become mindful, we can handle situations with less or no anxiety and without overreacting or feeling overwhelmed.
Meditation is using the mind to relax, reflect, visualize, and focus, among other things. We use the breath as a focus in meditation. Meditation also allows us to become aware of the negative thoughts we have about ourselves thereby allowing us to replace them with positive ones.
We will meet on Mondays from 3:30 - 4:00
